LA Knight Comments on How WWE Unreal Prompted Him To Make Big Backstage Change

This past January’s second season of the WWE Unreal docuseries on Netflix featured an episode involving LA Knight being reprimanded and talked down to by WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque backstage over him deviating from the originally planned finish to the 2025 Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match. This segment was notable for Knight staying sat down and remaining silent throughout the whole conversation.

Bootleg Kev held a recent interview with Knight. One of the topics discussed included Knight’s thoughts about his backstage conversation with Levesque and how WWE’s WWE Unreal series has led him to make several changes to how he does things backstage after his matches.

“I personally don’t think it’s super productive, but I understand why they’re doing it. I have definitely shifted the way I do some things, because you had mentioned my appearance on Unreal there. I was majorly holding my tongue in that scenario, if you could tell when I looked…because I had my own frustrations about that situation, that partially had to do with the finish, but more so it had to do with the overarching theme that I don’t need to get into the weeds about right here.

Although they told us, ‘Unreal is going to be here filming stuff,’ I had no idea I was being filmed. I had no idea that I was on a microphone at that point in time. With that being the case, I don’t even stop there in Gorilla anymore. When my match is over, my segment is over, I go straight through and I go back to the locker room. If they want to talk to me about my match or whatever happened out there, sure, let’s talk about it when there’s not a microphone or camera around, because that’s how it’s always been. With that being the case, I’m not going to stop in there and leave myself susceptible to that.”

Bayley Reflects on Her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title Match with AJ Lee at March 16th WWE RAW Show

This past Monday’s WWE RAW show in San Antonio, Texas featured AJ Lee defeating Bayley to retain the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. This match was notable for being the second time ever that Lee and Bayley competed against each other in a singles match in their wrestling careers.

Bayley recently reflected on Instagram about her recent match against Lee for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental title and her praise of Lee for the impact Lee has had on her wrestling career.

“To me, AJ has had such a special impact on the industry and heavily on women’s wrestling because of who she is outside of the ring. (Not to take away from how ANNOYINGLY smooth she STILL is after being away for 10 years.) (Also, how does she have even MORE abs? Wtf)

Friendship aside…I’ve told the story many times and I promise I’m not over exaggerating. But if I never had the conversation with AJ back in 2013 where she told me to stay true to who I am, I don’t know if I would’ve made it this far. I don’t even know if I would’ve made it past my first month in NXT. So, losing the match sucks. But sharing the ring again with someone who saw me for who I was, uplifted me, believed in me, and has supported me ever since, that was the magic. (I texted her earlier and said I didn’t want to send a novel. Because I was embarrassed and here I am.) THAT is the magic that’ll keep me fighting to find another road to Wrestlemania. Because if I’m staying true to who I am, THEN I CAN’T STOPPPPPPPPPPPP

@theajmendez, you are NEVER….and I want you to read this carefully and really focus…..you are never allowed to leave. We must giggle together at the monitor til we have to really break out our walkers 👵🏽👵🏼. Thank you. Bye. Don’t bring this up later ”
