Santos Escobar Announces He Will Be Out of Action for Months

As noted before, Santos Escobar has been dealing with a torn tricep injury since this past January that was made worse following him competing at this past Saturday’s AAA Rey de Reyes 2026 event in Puebla, Mexico. Escobar is currently scheduled to undergo surgery on Thursday to repair his arm.

Lucha Libre AAA recently released a new digital exclusive backstage video featuring Escobar clutching his arm and providing an update on his injury stating that he will be out of action for several months.

“The reason I came to AAA, Wagner, is to show you what real Lucha Libre is. And to prove that you’re not on my level. And that your mask is not the most beautiful in Mexican Lucha Libre. What you did today is unforgivable. The medical reports says I’ll be out for months…months. This is what I do to provide for my family, my legacy, and you messed with it.

When I come back, because you better believe I’m coming back. I’m not just coming back for that title. This time, I’m coming back for what you value most, what you say is the most beautiful thing in Mexican Lucha Libre. Be careful what you wish for.”

Liv Morgan Comments on Her Filming for Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo & Reveals Release Date

As noted before, Liv Morgan had been on a break from WWE from April of 2025 to May of 2025 due to her acting commitments for the filming of a new Bad Liuetenant: Tokyo film at the time.

Director’s Cut Radio held a recent interview with Morgan. One of the topics discussed included Morgan’s thoughts about how WrestleMania marks the beginning of the wrestling year for her. Morgan also gave her thoughts about how she feels confident that she will return as a “hometown hero” and the new WWE Women’s World Champion at Backlash the following month in her hometown of Tampa.

“Yeah, so WrestleMania to me kind of signifies like the start of the wrestling year. You know, we work all year to lead into WrestleMania to tell these stories and have these matches at WrestleMania, and once it’s done, it kind of feels like a reset. So, Backlash being the first PLE in the wrestling year as far as I’m concerned in Tampa, where I’m currently from. So, I kind of feel like the hometown hero walking in a brand new champion.”

Morgan also gave her thoughts about her work on the upcoming new Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo film and revealed that it is currently scheduled to be released this September.

“I have something on the way. Bad Lieutenant I filmed in Japan last year. It, it’s going to hit theaters in September. I was very excited about the project. I learned a lot, and I feel better after the fact. Having the experience, I was lucky to be in the room with all of these incredibly talented veterans of the film industry. And the WB audience is going to see me in a way that I think perhaps they never thought they’d see me. So I would tune in.”
