As noted before, Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Fresno, California featured “Timeless” Toni Storm being attacked and left bloodied by a mystery attacker that took place prior to the start of the show. Mina Shirakawa replaced Storm for her scheduled No Holds Barred match against Marina Shafir on the show, which was won by Shirakawa.
The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources stated that the reason for the angle was due to Storm is currently expected to be out of action for “a long time” due to an undisclosed injury or injuries. This reportedly was the reason why Shirakawa replaced Storm and defeated Shafir on the show.
No other details were given regarding the nature nor severity of Storm’s injury situation nor a potential return timetable.
Storm last wrestled at this past Sunday’s Revolution 2026 event against Shafir in an Everyone Barred At Ringside match, which was won by Storm. This match was notable for Ronda Rousey making a surprise appearance and confronting Storm after the match.
