Steve Maclin Head Injury Update – Maclin Not Diagnosed with Concussion
As noted before, Steve Maclin suffered a head-related injury during his match against Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship at Friday’s TNA Sacrifice 2026 event in Westwego, Louisiana. Maclin was believed to have suffered a potential concussion injury for the reason for the match being stopped after Maclin was unable to continue.
Sports Illustrated’s Jon Alba reported that TNA President Carlos Silva had told him that Maclin had cleared all medical tests and was not diagnosed with a concussion injury. Maclin reportedly was also released to return back to his hotel room following the show.
Michael Oku Replaces Steve Maclin for Interim MLP Canadian Title Match at MLP Uprising 2026
Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling announced one newly updated match for the card of tonight’s Uprising 2026 event at the St. Clair’s College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
It was announced that Michael Oku will be replacing Steve Maclin for Maclin’s scheduled Interim MLP Canadian Championship Six-way Elimination match at the event.
Besides Oku, Jay Lethal also replaced Psycho Mike for the match.

NJPW Announces First Three Competitors for Best of the Super Juniors 2026 Tournament
New Japan Pro Wrestling announced the first three official competitors for this year’s Best of the Super Juniors 33 tournament, which takes place from May 14th to June 7th in Japan.
Unlike previous years, it was announced that the field for this year’s tournament will be revealed in batches of three competitors per day instead of all at once.
The first three competitors announced were Kosei Fujita, DOUKI, and El Desperado.
