Thunder Rosa on It Would Be An Honor To Have A Dual Contract With AEW & CMLL
Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown on SI held a recent interview with Thunder Rosa. One of the topics discussed included Rosa’s thoughts about her interest in potentially signing a dual contract with CMLL and AEW.
“Really, you gonna ask me that question? Of course I’m interested in something like that. It’s a big deal, it is such a big deal and it’s such an honor when they recognize you to be somebody to be part of their organization. Absolutely, it would be an honor.”
Rosa also gave her thoughts about her praise of CMLL and AEW talent Persephone.
“I’m just excited, I’m just excited for her present and for her future. That woman has worked her ass off and from many, many women that I’ve seen that came through Mission Pro, she was one of the ones who worked from the ground up to have the opportunities that she has in Mexico and in the United States.
And she hasn’t taken shortcuts, she keeps growing, she keeps learning and the one thing I love about her, she stays humble and she’s super professional. Something that I think is important in professional wrestling is to be professional and she’s one of those and I have so much respect for her.
And when the time comes for us to do this, I think it’s gonna be a banger because she’s mouthy, I’m mouthy, We have really good energy, we’re both from the border. She’s from El Paso, I’m from Tijuana, you know, so we both know what’s up.
Like I was saying earlier, if you were born in a border town, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere. And as you can see, she was born in El Paso, she made it. I was born in Tijuana, I made it, so I know we can really, really do something amazing for everyone.”
Lady Frost on Her AEW Departure & Not Being Bitter About Her AEW Run
As noted before, Lady Frost’s contract with AEW and Ring of Honor expired at the end of this past March and recently signed an official contract with Major League Wrestling.
Fightful held a recent interview with Lady Frost. One of the topics discussed included Frost’s thoughts about her contract history with AEW.
“We had just started filming Ring of Honor in Florida, in Orlando, doing the tapings and I was getting per appearance, but I was actually getting flown in so I wasn’t a true extra at the time. It was 2022, I believe, I was signed to the full one year per appearance deal. That was an AEW contract. As far as I know, I don’t think they have Ring of Honor contracts. So I went from working one year per appearance and then they signed me to a full-time two year, three year option contract after that, which was straight AEW contract.”
Frost also gave her thoughts about her recent departure from AEW and how she does not like to sit back and collect a paycheck but she is not bitter about her time in AEW turned out for her.
“I did a couple of AEW matches, they kind of bounced me around. There was really never any direction, but again, very thankful for my time there. I did have a good time there. Obviously no one wants to sit. I mean, some people might like to sit in catering or at home getting paid. I don’t, I like to work. I would rather be in the ring doing what I love. It was almost four years that I was there. The first year, like I said, not under contract, three years under contract. But I don’t even know if a lot of people knew I was signed. I didn’t get a graphic. I’m not bitter or anything. It really was a good chapter for me, but I’m excited for the next one.”
