WWE Hires New Director of Show Production and Design

Hunter Selby announced on his LinkedIn page that he was recently hired by WWE to be their new Director of Show Production and Design.

“I’m excited to share that I’ve accepted a new position as Director of Show Production and Design at WWE. I’m looking forward to this new chapter, and to working on some designs that will hopefully be debuting on screens soon!”

Prior to his hiring, Selby previously worked for DX7 Design as a senior associate designer. Selby has been nominated for three Emmys for “Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction For A Variety Series” for American Idol in 2023 and 2025 and for “Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction For A Special” for SNL50: The Homecoming Concert in 2025.

Backstage Update on Roman Reigns No Longer Being Advertised for WWE RAW Shows This June

As noted before, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns is no longer advertised to be making appearances at upcoming WWE RAW shows this June in Europe and Maryland.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported in Sunday’s Daily Update that his sources stated that the reason why Reigns was pulled from upcoming RAW shows this June was due to him not going to Saudi Arabia for Night of Champions 2026.

Meltzer reported that WWE officials felt that there was no reason for Reigns to travel for those upcoming shows if he wasn’t going to be involved in the build for the next Saudi event.

Demolition Says They Were Given Six Minutes For Their WWE Hall Of Fame Speech

As noted before, Demolition (Ax & Smash) were inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame as part of this year’s class of inductees during this past April’s ceremony event in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A recent episode of the Demo Pod featured co-hosts Ax (Bill Eadie) and Smash (Barry Darsow) giving their thoughts about how much of their WWE Hall of Fame speech was cut for time at the ceremony.

Bill Eadie – “I wish we could’ve gone longer. I understand we have a timeframe, but I was happy with how it came out.”

Barry Darsow – “When they were first telling us to do all this, I had a speech that was a half hour long. I was going to tell stories about Andre The Giant and different people and how I came into the business. They came to us and said ‘you have six minutes.’ I went, ‘Six minutes? Between both of us?’ They said, ‘Yes.’ How am I going to take three minutes and Bill take three minutes? All of a sudden, you have to cut the speech down and what your whole thought process was. Mine ended up being probably four or five minutes. Bill’s was four, five, six minutes, maybe. We went over the time limit, but you’re getting inducted into the Hall of Fame? How could you not tell what you’re thinking? I noticed after on the WWE site, they just have a couple words of what I said and they have Bill’s full speech, which is fine for me, but it’s because we went over the time limit, I’m sure.”

Eadie – “They have different variations, because I saw the reverse of it. I think they do little splices. The whole thing is out there.”
