“I used to do fun stuff in an alternative universe….. maybe it’s time to dust off the ol college degree…”

During the show, Markova defeated Sirena Veil to retain the NWA World Women’s Championship. Following the match, Gretta attacked Markova laying her out with a chokeslam and Nieves came out and cashed in her Burke Invitational flowers which granted her an automatic title shot. Nieves quickly pinned Markova to become the new champion.

This was Nieves’ first-ever NWA World Women’s title victory in her NWA career.

NWA’s Claim for 5/2 NWA Powerrr Show Numbers on Comet TV Reportedly Disputed

As noted before, the National Wrestling Alliance announced earlier this month that their May 2nd premiere episode of NWA Powerrr on Comet TV drew 275,000 households. No other details were given regarding the actual viewership number nor key demographic rating for the show.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that he has been unable to find corroboration anywhere from those spoken to for the number that NWA claimed their premiere show drew on Comet.

Meltzer also reported that he also has been unable to find an actual number for any of the three airings of the two NWA Powerrr shows that weekend.
