Tomohiro Ishii Makes Surprise Return

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show at the Siegel Center in Richmond, Virginia featured Tomohiro Ishii making his surprise return from injury to AEW.

Prior to the start of the show, AEW released a backstage video featuring Mark Briscoe and The Conglomeration being interviewed by Renee Paquette. Among those with The Conglomeration was Ishii.

In a follow-up segment, MJF attempted to attack RUSH following their AEW World Championship No Count Outs match leading to Briscoe rushing out for the save. This led to a brief brawl between MJF and Briscoe that ended when MJF hit a lot blow kick to Briscoe. Before MJF could strike Briscoe with his title belt, the rest of The Conglomeration ran out to save Briscoe and chased MJF out of the ring.

This was Ishii’s first appearance since this past February due to a neck injury.


Kevin Knight Revealed as Newest Member of Don Callis Family

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured the announcement of Kevin Knight as the newest member of the Don Callis Family.

Following Andrade El Idolo’s victory over – in a singles match, Andarde grabbed a microphone and called out MJF for an AEW World Championship match. This led to Don Callis’ music playing to interrupt and came out to the ring with Jake Doyle. After some words directed at Andrade, Callis officially announced Knight as the newest member of his Don Callis Family group. Knight’s music played and came out to the ring and gave a hug to Callis ahead of his TNT title match against “Speedball” Mike Bailey.

Following his victory over Bailey, Knight grabbed a microphone and explained his reasons for turning on Bailey and splitting JetSpeed saying he finally got rid of the dead weight. Knight then talked about how joining Callis was the best way to get what he really wants which is the AEW World title and called out MJF.


Mercedes Mone Revealed as Wild Card in 2026 Women’s Owen Hart Cup

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Mercedes Mone being revealed as the mystery Wild Card opponent for Alex Windsor’s First Round match in this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament.

Mone replaced Willow Nightingale who had to drop out of the tournament and vacate her TBS title due to a recent shoulder injury.


Mercedes Mone Advances in Women’s Owen Hart Cup

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured one Quarterfinal Round match in this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament.

This match was Mercedes Mone defeating Alex Windsor.

As a result of her victory, Mone will be facing off against the winner of Persephone/Hazuki in the Semifinal Round of this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament.


Will Ospreay Advances To 2026 Men’s Owen Hart Cup Finals

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured one Semifinal Round match in this year’s Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament.

This match was Will Ospreay defeating Mark Davis.

As a result of his victory, Ospreay will be facing off against the winner of Swerve Strickland/Brody King in the Finals of this year’s Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026 on June 28th at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
