WWE’s Current Creative Plans for 2026 King of the Ring Tournament
This year’s King and Queen of the Ring tournaments officially kicked off at this Monday’s WWE RAW show in Turin, Italy. The winners of this year’s King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will earn a World Championship match at this August’s SummerSlam 2026 event.
WrestleVotes on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE officials had not made a decision on who would be the winner of this year’s King of the Ring tournament as of the time of the brackets being announced at WWE’s Clash in Italy’s post-show.
Those spoken to reportedly stated that there were “at least” three names in consideration to win this year’s tournament but it is currently not known who those names are.
Oba Femi is currently the only person who has advanced to the Semifinal Round following his victory over Penta, Carmelo Hayes, and Solo Sikoa in a Four-way First Round tournament match at this past Monday’s WWE RAW show.
Seth Rollins Comments on “Roman Reigns Saying He Made The World Heavyweight Championship Relevant Is Bullsh*t”
Prince St. Pizza held a recent interview with Seth Rollins. One of the topics discussed included Rollins’ thoughts in character about his issues with Roman Reigns claiming that he has made the WWE World Heavyweight Championship relevant and how he has elevated the title into being a major title in WWE since winning it.
“It’s really difficult for me to feel any which way other than disgusted by the result. So now, Roman Reigns is walking around with my title, talking about how he made the title relevant, which is bullshit. I’ll just say it. It’s complete bullshit. He knows it, I know it, everybody else knows it. He sounds like an idiot when he says it.”
Rollins is currently one of the potential contenders for Reigns’ WWE World Heavyweight title should he become the winner of this year’s King of the Ring tournament.

Sheamus Shoulder Injury Update
As noted before, Sheamus has been out of action for WWE since this past November due to a shoulder injury and surgery.
Sheamus provided an update on Thursday on Instagram revealing that he has been training at WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida as part of his recovery for an in-ring return in the future.
