Pre-show Arrivals

Superstar Arrivals include the four men in tonight’s King of the Ring tournament match and the four women in the Queen of the Ring tournament bout.

Ringside: Gunther, Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn

before we head to ringside to get the show started…and boy do we get things going, as Gunther comes crashing into the announce area. He nearly destroys the Italian desk in particular before standing up top with a microphone in hand, yelling that he’s not going anywhere until he gets what he wants.

He says he’s got ring awareness like nobody else, noting that his foot being under the bottom rope means the pinfall should never have been counted. By all rights he believes he should be the Undisputed WWE Champion, and the golden boy can go on kissing everyone else’s butt all he wants. His rant is interrupted by the arrival of Cody Rhodes, the crowd singing along with his theme as he is NOT necessarily rushing down to the ring to meet with the Ring General, who remains on the announce table as he starts shouting at the champion entering the ring itself.

The crowd chant for Cody as the champ admits that his Clash in Italy opponent is right. “Cody, Cody Rhooooodes” interrupts him, but he gets a kick out of that before continuing. He notes that Gunther is a 20-year pro, and he’s out here “big mad” and shouting at people and destroying stuff. Sometimes you’re the hero saving the little piggies from the cold-blooded sausage maker, and sometimes you are the cold-blooded sausage maker.

Cody knows who he is, admitting all he has to do is make one phone call, but states that he doesn’t even need to make that call…if Gunther wants to do this, we can do this right now tonight in Bologna for the Undisputed WWE Championship! The crowd loves the idea, but this is interrupted by the arrival of Sami Zayn to a big pop.

He thanks the crowd for the reception before stating he couldn’t deal with all this going on anymore. Gunther tells him this is none of his business, but Zayn retorts by reminding him that he’s got a win over the Ring General. Cody speaks up, saying he doesn’t know which Sami he’s getting right now. He congratulates him on the win over Cardona last week and recognizes he wants a crack at the title, but Cody is a little busy right now. Sami says this is why their “friendship” is in the state it’s in, because Rhodes is always blowing him off when it comes to stuff like this.

Cody said he’d beat Gunther at Clash in Italy and then he’d teach Sami a lesson. Well, Cody beat Gunther…when is he gonna teach Zayn that lesson? This is cut off as Gunther blindsides the champ, shoving him into Sami before putting Cody into a sleeper hold. Sami comes back into the ring to pull Gunther away, but is shoved back out by the Ring General. Cody drops him to the mat for some punches before being sent to the outside…and sends Sami into the line of fire, getting him dropped by the champ! Gunther retreats as Cody offers a hand to Zayn, insisting he didn’t mean to attack his buddy. Sami is having none of it as we cut away.

Backstage: The Miz, Kit Wilson, Danhausen

Backstage, Miz is talking to Kit Wilson about the latter being held back from travel by the “toxic TSA” when the A-Lister notices a large wire. He follows it into what appears to be Danhausen’s lab for this week, with Danhausen asking him not to touch his stuff. This leads to Miz knocking over various items before pulling at the wire…which apparently shocks him, sending the former WWE Champion to the floor! Danhausen finds his missing Italian cuisine and walks off eating it.

Backstage: Nick Aldis, Gunther

Backstage, Nick Aldis is interrupted by a raving mad Gunther, who is mad about the disrespect he’s been shown since joining SmackDown. Aldis says he’s showing Gunther the same amount of respect that the Ring General has shown the GM since they began negotiations.

2026 Queen of the Ring Tournament First Round Fatal Four-way Match
Raquel Rodriguez vs. Bayley vs. Jacy Jayne vs. Kiana James

Bayley gets a chant from the crowd just as the four women start to go at it, with Bayley sending Rodriguez to the outside. Jayne charges at the former Women’s Champion but is sent through the ropes instead, with Bayley hitting a Bayley-to-Belly on James for a two count. Kiana gets right back at it, trading offense and nearfalls before Jacy charges in for a double stack and a two count of her own.

Bayley dodges an attack by James, but rolls into a forearm by Jayne. All three women are back on their feet, only to be taken out with a cross body by Rodriguez as we fade to black for a “break.”

Raquel maintains control, sending away Jayne and James before Bayley starts to fight back. This is short-lived as Rodriguez sends her away before Jayne tries to go at it with her. The action spills to the outside as Jacy and Kiana start to turn things around before we return from “break.”

This ends with Bayley charging into all three women, only for Jayne to get onto the apron to get the drop on Bayley. She brings Bayley back into the ring for a cover, but only gets a two count. Bayley sent to the corner as Jacy follows with some boots to the former champion, along with a snapmare and a spinal tap. Senton connects, but Jayne only gets a nearfall as Bayley kicks out.

Kiana slides into the ring to go after Jacy, but is dropped to the mat. James fights back by sending Jayne into the corner before landing a cannonball on Bayley, and toward Jacy as well…before being dropped hard by Raquel! She sets up Bayley and Kiana near the corner for a corkscrew splash and a two on the double cover.

Jacy fights back before sending Bayley onto the turnbuckle, setting up for a hurricanrana sending Bayley to the mat. Rodriguez goes after Jacy now, attacking both women once more before Kiana takes all three of them out before we go to “break” once more.

Raquel is the first to her feet, sending James and Bayley out of the ring before Jacy tries to go after her. She gets sent to the outside, but in comes Bayley who sends Raquel to the corner. Rodriguez is dropped to the mat but starts to get up as Bayley lands an elbow drop on her back. She gets a two count for this before turning her attention to Jacy Jayne, dropping her with a double leg takedown for a nearfall as we return from “break.”

Kiana takes control just as we come back, getting a nearfall before Raquel gets back into it. She gets taken out by James who goes for a cover on Jacy, only for Bayley to break the pin. Kiana lands a Dealbreaker on her for a two count, as we see Jacy blindside Giulia on the outside. Bayley drops Jayne off the apron before being rolled up by Kiana, who gets her feet on the ropes…but Jacy pulls her feet off to break the pin. Giulia sends her down, but is spotted by James who starts shouting at her thinking she pulled Kiana’s feet off the ropes.

This allows Bayley to take control again, but it doesn’t last long as Raquel sends her away before dropping Kiana with a Tejana Bomb for the win!

Winner: Raquel Rodriguez via Pinfall.

We get a replay of the finish before coming back to the ring, where Giulia tries to talk it out with Kiana…who tells Giulia they’re finished. Giulia looks nearly devastated by this…but turns it around by dropping James with some punches! The crowd pops big style for this as we cut away.

Backstage: Sami Zayn, Johnny Gargano, Nick Aldis, Chad Gable

Backstage, Sami vents his frustrations with Johnny Comedy Prop…I mean, Gargano, before Nick Aldis arrives. He tells Zayn to stay out of Cody and Gunther’s business, and Sami is none too pleased about that before Aldis says he has other business to attend to…welcoming Chad Gable into his office to discuss things.

Royce Keys vs. Talla Tonga

We head back to ringside as Talla Tonga is accompanied by MFT on his way down the ramp for our next match. We take a look back at the recent issues between the group and Royce Keys, Damian Priest, and R-Truth before Keys makes his entrance to get this match underway!

Both men look for an advantage at the outset, with Talla taking control as he keeps Royce from droping him with a body slam. Right hand connects, but Keys blocks a slam from Talla before sending him to the ropes and to the outside before we got to “break” with some muted audio.

Talla catches Keys on the outside, slamming him onto the announce table and then into the ring post. He brings Royce back into the ring, propping him onto the bottom rope to continue the damage before bringing him back to his feet for a side slam and a two count. Keys starts to fight back but is rocked by a clubbing blow to the kidney, and Talla continues to lay into him as we return from “break.”

Talla gets another nearfall before Royce gets back up, heading to the corner. Talla charges for a big boot, but Keys dodges it before clubbing away at the tallest Tongan on the roster. Royce lands a boot on him but a body slam attempt once against fails, forcing him to send Talla into the corner for some more shots. He sends Talla to the ropes and lands a Pounce, forcing the big man to the mat.

With that, Royce is able to hoist up Talla for a power slam…but MFT get on the apron to stop him from going for a cover. Tama gets a fist to the face for his troubles, but Royce gets caught with a chokeslam by Talla upon his return to the ring, allowing Talla to pick up the win.

Winner: Talla Tonga via Pinfall.

MFT start to beat Keys down until R-Truth comes out for the save. They fend off Truth until Damian Priest comes through the crowd to pull his fellow tag champion out of harm’s way. They argue about helping out Royce, who gets beat down some more by MFT before they leave the ring.

Backstage: Judgement Day

Backstage, Judgment Day congratulate Raquel on winning her match tonight before they talk about Dominik looking to win and their goal of Judgment Day holding all the gold. Tensions start to rise as Liv talks about she and Dom being a cute King and Queen couple, but assures Raquel it’d be cool to see her win the tournament too. For now, let’s focus on Dominik winning!

Video: Finn Balor

We get a video package for Finn Balor, who recently joined SmackDown and will be part of King of the Ring tournament action next week facing Royce Keys, LA Knight, and Jey Uso.

Backstage: Damian Priest, R-Truth, War Raiders

Backstage, Damian Priest and R-Truth continue to hash out their differences regarding Royce Keys. Priest asks Truth what happens if he gets hurt helping Royce out, calling out the lack of a doctor. Truth says his brother is a doctor, and Priest says Truth doesn’t have a brother. “How dare you,” replies Truth, noting his brother is the Doctor of Thuganomics to a laugh from the crowd.

Priest walks off before the War Raiders step in, the new AAA Tag Team Champions calling Truth and his partner out to put their titles up against the Raiders. They’re ready for everyone, but nobody is ready for War. Truth says he’s never met either of them a day in his life before walking off.

In-Ring: Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, Michin, B-Fab, Nick Aldis

Back to ringside we go as Rhea Ripley makes her way down the ramp with her WWE Women’s Championship and a microphone. Crowd shows some love for the champ as she addresses putting the Jade Cargill chapter behind her after Clash in Italy. She starts to address a friend helping her out with the numbers game in recent weeks, but is interrupted by the arrival of Charlotte Flair.

Flair also has a mic, and talks about helping her out at Clash in Italy. She also brings up the Queen of the Ring tournament and her history as a competitor and champion while making her way toward the ring itself. She steps into the ring as she says as much fun as she’s had fighting alongside Ripley, it’ll be Charlotte standing in front of her…and she will take back her championship.

“It’s Tiffy Time!”

Out comes Tiffany Stratton, holding up her Women’s United States Championship as she talks about how crazy it’s been to see Rhea and Charlotte NOT go after each other already. Flair asks if Tiffy is here to apologize, but Stratton says that would be crazy as she enters the ring. She’s here to address Rhea, saying the United States title looks great on her but she wants the title Ripley holds.

Jade Cargill and her amazing baddies come out to interrupt, addressing what happened at Clash in Italy while dealing with the haters in the front row. Jade looks to get revenge right now, and they approach the ring before Nick Aldis comes out to interrupt. The GM says that Rhea is in no shape to compete tonight, so let’s calm down. Charlotte interrupts with a suggestion: she knows Tiffy doesn’t like her and she sure doesn’t like Stratton, but she dislikes Jade even more, offering to team with the US Champion against Jade and one of her “backup dancers” right here in Bologna. Aldis likes the sound of that, and makes that match official for…right now!

Well, after this quick commercial break anyway.

Charlotte Flair & Michin vs. Charlotte Flair & Tiffany Stratton

Charlotte and Michin start things off, with Flair quickly gaining control before turning her attention to Cargill. This distracts her long enough for Michin to fight back, but Stratton tags herself in to send Michin to the mat with a dropkick for a nearfall. Jade tags in, hitting a fall away slam before mocking Flair. She sends Tiffy to the corner for a splash, followed by a spinebuster for two.

Michin tags back in for some more damage, but Charlotte tags in to regain control. She mocks Jade before sending Michin to the corner. Michin fights back, sending Flair to the apron…but she gets knocked back before Flair turns her attention to Cargill and B-Fab on the outside, taking them to the floor. She gets back up, only to be dropped by a dive from Michin as we go to “break.”

Michin brings Charlotte back into the ring, distracting the ref so Jade can get a cheap shot in. Michin with a nearfall before tagging Cargill in. Jade goes to work on the Queen, but mocking the crowd leaves her open for a roll up as Flair gets a two count. Tag to Michin, who cinches in a standing chinlock as we return from “break.”

Charlotte manages to break free, but is held back from a tag by Michin who sends her to the opposite corner. Charlotte fights back with a boot to Michin, but a ref distraction means Jade gets another cheap shot. Michin shows some love to fellow OC alum AJ Styles with a Styles Clash, but the pin that follows is broken up by Stratton. Michin goes for a Figure Four Leglock but is sent to the corner by Flair, who tags in Tiffany!

She drops Michin to the mat before sending Jade off the apron. Alabama Slam sends Michin back down before Tiffy goes up top for a swanton bomb…but it only gets her a two as Michin kicks out! Stratton fights out of the corner before Michin connects with a Pele kick, tagging in Jade right after.

Cargill goes after Stratton but this ends with both women down. They fight to their feet until Jade counters a cartwheel to set Tiffy up for a sitout powerbomb and a nearfall. Things break down on the outside with Michin sending Flair down hard to the floor as Cargill goes for Jaded, but Tiffy counters for a nearfall. She drops Jade with a rolling fireman carry slam before going up top, but a Prettiest Moonsault Ever gets blocked as Cargill drops Stratton with Jaded for the win!

Winner: Jade Cargill & Michin via Pinfall.

They celebrate their victory.

Backstage: Fatal Influence, Scream Mode

as we head backstage, where Fatal Influence are angry about what led to Jacy Jayne losing her match earlier tonight. They turn their attention to Brie Bella and Paige, interrupting the champs’ photo session as Jacy has some words with them. The champs make fun of Jayne taking a loss tonight before they get blindsided by Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid! Fatal Influence stand tall, holding the Women’s Tag Team Championship as we go to commercial.

Backstage: R-Truth, Royce Keys

Backstage, Truth talks to Royce Keys as he tries to convince Keys that things are cool with Damian Priest.

Ricky Saints vs. Carmelo Hayes

We head back to ringside as Ricky Saints continues to unsuccessfully fight off the “no pop” allegations, with no audible reaction aside from a few happy faces for the Absolute one as he heads to the ring for our next match. Getting a slightly better reaction from the Bologna crowd is Carmelo Hayes as he heads down the ramp while we get a look back at the two facing off last week. Hayes enters the ring, and gets blindsided by Saints as we get this match underway!

Saints sends his opponent to the ropes, but is sent to the outside by Hayes who lands a dive on him. He brings Saints back into the ring, still keeping his jacket on as he lands a splash for a two count. Finally taking the jacket off gives Saints a chance to leave the ring, forcing Melo to follow him back in before cutting Hayes off.

Melo simply does not miss as he lays into Ricky, and Saints goes flying out of the ring as we go to “break.”

He poses for the crowd before bringing Saints back into the ring for some punches in the corner. Saints fights back and sends Melo to the ropes, before setting him up in the corner for an Absolute rope walk into a clubbing arm wringer (or something, basically his version of Old School lol). He continues to beat down on Hayes as we return from “break.”

Melo starts to fight back but is sent to the ropes again by Saints, who counters from the corner into a Northern Lights suplex for a two count. A second attempt leads to a DDT from Hayes, dropping Saints hard onto the canvas. Both men are back up and trading strikes until Saints lands a boot…and Hayes responds with a Dirty Diana for a two count! Saints gets to the ropes, blocking First 48 for a jackknife cover.

Hayes kicks out and gets a nearfall of his own, turning things around with a Revolution DDT from the corner for one more two count. Melo counters out of a powerbomb attempt, landing First 48 for the cover…but Saints manages to kick out just in time to save the match for himself!

Hayes heads to the corner, going up for Nothing But Net…only for Ricky to send him crashing to the outside! He follows close behind to send him over the barricade, and blocks a diving attack by Hayes to drop him onto the floor. Ref starts a count as Saints rolls back into the ring, but Melo narrowly breaks the count by getting in at nine. Saints fights back, eventually rolling him up with a handful of tights for the win.

Winner: Ricky Saints via Pinfall.

Backstage: Trick Williams, Bron Breakker

Backstage, we hear from Trick Williams who isn’t all that worried about Ricky Saints and Carmelo Hayes both coming after him. His focus is now on the King of the Ring tournament, a chance for him to really prove how good he is. Let’s talk about it. Less interested in talk is Bron Breakker, who stares him down before saying he’ll see him in the ring. Breakker walks off as SmackDown rolls on.

Backstage: Chelsea Green, Tiffany Stratton

Elsewhere, Chelsea Green talks to Tiffany Stratton saying she was surprised to see Tiffy out there without her…and with Charlotte Flair…but that’s okay, she just really needs Stratton’s support by going out there with her for her match. Stratton says she has to go to the trainer’s, but she’s sure Chelsea has this.

Video: Blake Monroe

We get another vignette hyping up Blake Monroe, this one focused on her thoughts on Tiffany Stratton. She says that Tiffy Time is about to run on Monroe’s minutes, as The Glamour is coming to SmackDown. Girl, I saw your whole Mariah May arc in AEW…and I saw your first angle in NXT. You can’t keep doing the same storyline over and over ag–y’know what, let’s just move on.

Lash Legend vs. Chelsea Green

Green tries to take Legend off her game at the outset, but Lash quickly takes control before locking in a bearhug on the former US Champion. She drops Green to the mat, forcing her to the outside. She distracts the ref as Jax gets a cheap shot on Chelsea before sending her back into the ring.

Green tries to go for a sunset flip and…aloooohaaaaa Laaaaash…Legend stops it, bringing Chelsea to her feet for a big boot instead. She continues the beatdown until Green takes control from the ropes…bringing the top one down as Legend seemingly stumbles to the outside.

Chelsea is quick to bring Lash back into the ring, going up for a missile dropkick that garners a two count. She goes for an Unprettier, but Legend counters with a Lash Extension for the win!

Winner: Lash Legend via Pinfall.

She celebrates her win with Nia Jax.

Video: Jacob Fatu, Roman Reigns, The Usos

We get a look back at Raw on Monday, which saw Jacob Fatu acknowledge Roman Reigns as his Tribal Chief after the loss at Clash in Italy.

Backstage: Solo Sikoa, Royce Keys

This gets addressed by Solo Sikoa as he talks to Royce Keys, telling him that with Jacob gone and Priest not wanting anything to do with him, Solo is the only family Keys has left. He talks about being the one to check in on Keys recently, before saying that this side needs to get ready for war.

He tells Royce to stop being so difficult, or Solo will make this difficult. Sikoa walks off as we get some hype for our main event coming up next!

Video: AAA, El Grande Americano, Original El Grande Americano, Chad Gable

We get a video package looking back at the Mask vs. Mask match at AAA Noches de los Grandes, which saw “Original” El Grande Americano unmask as Chad Gable. Yeah, I’m just as shocked as you are…but the match was great, and that promo after? Just…wow.

Backstage: Rey Fenix, Axiom, Nathan Frazer, Chad Gable

Backstage, Rey Fenix has a chat with Axiom which confuses Nathan Frazer before he congratulates the new AAA Cruiserweight Champion on his big win. This is interrupted by Chad Gable, who asks to speak with Fenix privately. He talks to Rey about their match last year at WrestleMania and how it was under false pretenses. He addresses taking on the El Grande Americano persona to mock the culture and lucha libre, but learned a harsh lesson along the way.

He shows respect to Fenix, saying he wants another match with him down the line…but for now, he’s asking Rey for forgiveness. Fenix shows some respect of his own, saying that losing the mask was painful enough for Chad and that he forgives Gable…but remember, I’m not the only one you offended.

Backstage: Nick Aldis, Cody Rhodes

Elsewhere, Nick Aldis talks to Cody Rhodes about the title match he offered Gunther earlier tonight. Aldis just got done talking to Gunther’s legal team, and Gunther will only accept the match if he gets to name the stipulation next week. So, Cody offers to do the match in two weeks instead but no later.

2026 King of the Ring Tournament First Round Fatal Four-way Match
Damian Priest vs. Trick Williams vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. Bron Breakker

We head back to ringside, where Damian Priest makes his entrance for our main event coming up next.

We head back to ringside, where Dominik Mysterio is accompanied by Liv Morgan on his way down the ramp. Out next is Bron Breakker, his half of the World Tag Team Championship around his waist as he heads to the ring while we get a look at what happened on Raw when he accidentally speared Paul Heyman through the barricade before losing to Seth Rollins. Rounding out the entrances is Trick Williams, who gets a big pop from the crowd as they chant “Whoop that Trick” on his way to the ring to get this match underway!

Bron Breakker blindsides Williams before scaring Dom off to the outside. Priest goes after Breakker but takes a German suplex. Trick goes after him but takes a suplex from Bron as well, with Mysterio being sent off the apron wiht a forearm. He takes Priest out again before running around the ring…laying out Dom with a shoulder tackle instead of a spear as we get muted audio for our “break”(ker…lol).

Breakker quickly finds himself dealing with Damian as Trick goes after Mysterio, sending him over the announce table. Dom fights back, sending Williams back into the ring to a “Dirty, Dirty Dom” chant from the crowd. Priest comes into the ring, taking Mysterio down with a big boot before Trick comes back in for some shots of his own…only to be sent to the corner for a hard chop from Damian. Trick fights back by sending Priest to the corner, with Breakker getting back into it as Trick goes after Mysterio. Bron gets sent out of the ring by Damian, who goes after Trick and Mysterio as we return from “break.”

Priest sends Williams away before going after Dom, taking him down before sending Trick and Bron back with boots to each man. They end up in opposite corners, allowing Damian to land a hip attack on each before sending them to the outside. Dom tries to fight back but gets laid out by Priest…but he’s back on his feet, landing some kicks on Damian! Dom gets knocked to the mat by Priest, who climbs the turnbuckle…and gets intercepted by Bron for a Breakkensteiner!

Dom goes after Breakker and gets slammed hard for a cover, only for Williams to break up the pin. Trick continues the attack as the crowd chant “Whoop that Trick” while he lays in some stomps on Mysterio, followed by a Book End on Breakker for a two count. Priest gets involved but is sent to the apron by Williams.

Kick by Priest knocks Trick away but Dom comes running to the turnbuckle…only for Trick to put him on his shoulders, allowing Damian to get some shots in on the AAA Mega Champion. Breakker goes after Priest on the turnbuckle, with Williams joining in for a double superplex that sends Priest crashing to the canvas as we get muted audio to go to “break.”

All four men are down, but Dom is crawling over for a pin on Priest. That gets a two count, so Mysterio goes to Bron and gets a nearfall…and then over to Williams for the same result. Mysterio goes after Breakker for a bit before Trick grabs him, sending him to the corner for an exchange of chops that ends with a flurry of them by the United States Champion. Dom fights back by sending Trick to the adjacent corner, but Priest interrupts before sending Mysterio into Williams. Cover by Priest on Mysterio for two, and Damian goes after Trick while Bron beats up on Mysterio as we return from “break.”

All four men go after each other now, with Bron and Williams cleared out of the ring as Dom blocks South of Heaven only to take a headbutt sending him to the mat. Liv Morgan gets on the apron to distract Priest, and he’s having none of it…but he gets knocked away by Breakker in the process. Breakker sends Williams into the corner when he tries to intervene, before Mysterio fights him off…only to take a boot by Priest! Trick sends Dom out of the ring before landing a Trick Shot on Priest, going for the cover…but Mysterio pulls the ref out of the ring to break the pin!

Trick is not happy about that but he doesn’t have time to deal with Dom, as Breakker goes after the US Champion and sends him through the announce table! Dom takes advantage of the opening here and goes after Priest, who fends him off before JD McDonagh comes into the ring…only to take a South of Heaven by Damian! The distraction allows Dom to take Priest down, and a Frog Splash gets him the win.

Winner: Dominik Mysterio via Pinfall.

Dom celebrates up the ramp alongside Judgment Day, telling fellow semifinalist Oba Femi to “count your days” as SmackDown comes to a close.
