TNA Confirms Releases of Steve Maclin and Myla Grace, Backstage Update on Maclin’s Release

TNA Wrestling announced earlier today that they have come to terms with the releases of Steve Maclin and Myla Grace from the company.

“TNA Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Myla Grace & Steve Maclin, effective immediately. We wish them the best in their future endeavors.”

Following the announcement, Maclin confirmed on Twitter a report from Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp that he had requested his release from TNA.

“Last week I requested my release from TNA. I put my blood, sweat, and tears into everything I’ve done over the last 5 years and I’ll always be thankful for my time there. But now, it’s time to STACK BODIES. See you soon”

In regards to Maclin’s release, Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Maclin had hoped to keep the word of his departure quiet but TNA made the decision to issue a press release announcing it. Those spoken to reportedly stated that TNA officials did not consult Grace or Maclin before making a decision and the company rarely issues a press release for talent who are released from the company.

It was reported that Maclin had been very outspoken directly and publicly about his frustrations with the company’s creative direction of late. Maclin reportedly was among a number of talent that did not believe things had improved in the company since the move to AMC.

It was also reported that pay scale for talent was also something that has been discussed internally as an issue as well.

Prior to his departure, Maclin had been with TNA since June of 2021 and last wrestled against Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship at the May 21st TNA Impact! show.

Prior to her departure, Grace had been with TNA since May of 2025 and had requested and was granted her release from the company over the past week.
