Randy Orton & Drew McIntyre WWE Absences & Return Plans Update
Randy Orton has been absent from WWE since his match against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at this past April’s WrestleMania 42 Night 1 event and had denied being injured for the reason for his abscense. Besides Orton, Drew McIntyre has been absent from WWE since this past April’s WrestleMania 42 Night 1 event as well due to being in Scotland for the filming of the remainder of his scenes for the upcoming Highlander reboot film, which he completed this past late May.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that an internal document that circulated within WWE earlier this month had listed both Orton and McIntyre being involved in this August’s SummerSlam 2026 event.
Those spoken to reportedly stated that both Orton and McIntyre are currently on track to return in time for this year’s SummerSlam event.
No other details were given regarding WWE’s current plans for Orton and McIntyre at the event.
WWE Presence at UFC Freedom 250 Event Update
As noted before, Charlotte Flair, The Miz, Chelsea Green, WWE United States Champion Trick Williams, The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso), Bron Breakker, and WWE Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton are currently advertised to be making an appearance at the UFC Freedom 250 Fan Fest event on June 13-14 in Washington, D.C.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that besides the talent currently advertised for UFC’s Fan Fest event, several other talents from WWE have expressed their interest in attending UFC’s Freedom 250 MMA event at the White House on June 14th.
It was reported that a number of talents have reached out to the company about being there even if not in an official capacity.
It was also reported that several backstage WWE personnel are expected to be present throughout UFC’s Freedom 250 weekend in Washington D.C. as well.
WWE Reportedly Considering Plans for Diamond Dallas Page for Potential WWE TV Appearance
WWE officials reportedly are currently considering plans for WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page to make a potential appearance on WWE television in the near future, according to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select.
It was reported that one source stated that DDP’s name has been popping up in WWE creative discussions as recently as this past May. It was also reported that it is currently not known how WWE intends to use DDP.
This same source reportedly also stated that if the plan to use DDP moves forward, it is expected to be a one-off type appearance instead of him having an on-going role in a creative storyline.
