As noted before, WWE has been holding a charity auction over the past week through Fanatics allowing fans the ability to bid on the mask that El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) wore during his Mask vs. Mask match against Original El Grande Americano at this past May’s AAA Noche de Los Grandes 2026 Week 1 show. Proceeds of this auction will be going towards the Dr. Sonrisas Foundation, which is a non-profit children’s charity.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that one source within Fanatics stated that the company is “flabbergasted” by the value being generated by the ring-worn El Grande Americano mask.
Those spoken to reportedly stated that they had initially projected the mask to be sold for between $12,000 to $15,000. The current total of over $40,000 reportedly has been a significant surprise and well beyond initial expectations within Fanatics.
It was reported that Fanatics officials is currently exploring ways to identify and earmark select WWE ring-worn items for auction before matches even take place. This idea reportedly would actively allow Fanatics to promote those pieces of memorabilia during WWE live events and creating additional awareness and potentially driving even greater interest from collectors in real time.
