Piper Niven Provides Update on Her Neck Injury Recovery

As noted before, Piper Niven has been out of action for WWE since this past August due to a neck injury. Niven had underwent anterior discetomy surgery this past May to remove a damaged or herniated disc in her neck.

In a response to a fan earlier today on Twitter, Niven provided an update stating that it will still be a long time until she can make a potential in-ring return from her injury.

“Don’t count me out just yet chick, just letting people know that it will be a long time and maybe possibly not at all so we don’t have to answer the same question 50 times a stream 😉 x”

Chad Gable Revealed He Needed “Bonus Surgery” for 2025 Shoulder Injury

Chad Gable recently released a new nine-part documentary series focusing on his road to his recovery from a shoulder injury in 2025 and his in-ring return at this past January’s Royal Rumble 2026 event.

Gable released the second episode of his documentary series earlier today on his YouTube channel. One of the topics discussed included Gable revealing that he had needed to undergo “bonus surgery” for his shoulder injury.

“They went to work on me. From what I understand, the whole operation took less than an hour. Surgery went well. Fixed it up just like we were supposed to, but while Dr. Dugas was in there, he found the bicep tendon at the shoulder was pretty much completely shredded to a degree that he did not know, because the images do not always show everything. So when he went in there, the bicep tendon was actually a lot worse than he thought it was, so he repaired that as well, since he was in there anyway. So, a little bonus surgery for Gable here.”

WWE Holding Charity Auction for El Grande Americano’s Mask from AAA Noche de Los Grandes 2026

WWE recently launched a new auction through Fanatics allowing fans the ability to bid on the mask that El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) wore during his Mask vs. Mask match against Original El Grande Americano at this past May’s AAA Noche de Los Grandes 2026 Week 1 show.

It was announced that all net proceeds will go toward the Dr. Sonrisas Foundation, which is a non-profit charity who’s mission is to fulfill dreams and put smiles on the faces of children who are going through critical medical struggles.

It was also announced that this auction will run through June 25.

WWE’s auction description:

A mask does not come off in lucha libre unless the story is big enough to deserve it. At AAA Noche de Los Grandes on May 30, 2026, inside Arena Monterrey, El Grande Americano beat ‘Original’ El Grande Americano in a Máscara vs. Máscara Match, forcing the rival under the hood to reveal himself as Chad Gable.

This authentic AAA match-used mask is the one El Grande Americano wore through that fight, hand-signed across the back and left with the frayed edges, torn openings and gold-and-silver scars from the main-event battle. The front still carries the El Grande Americano crest, but the damage around it is what turns the mask from gear into evidence.

Gable handed over his mask after the loss. El Grande Americano kept his name, kept his face hidden and left Monterrey with the kind of lucha libre trophy that cannot be remade.

100% of the net proceeds from this auction will be donated by WWE directly to the Dr. Sonrisas Foundation, supporting children facing life-threatening health conditions. The Dr. Sonrisas is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to changing the lives of children suffering from critical illnesses by fulfilling their greatest dreams and bringing them joy, hope, and emotional support during their bravest battles.

WWE also released a video featuring El Grande Americano commenting on his mask being up for auction for a good cause.

“None of this would be possible without you. And that’s why it’s really, really important to me to try and support my country and try to give a little bit of that love that I’ve been receiving back to you.”
