Mark Briscoe Comments on His Rivarly with MJF in AEW

Fightful held a recent interview with Mark Briscoe. One of the topics discussed included Briscoe’s rivarly with MJF in AEW and why he truly despises MJF.

“I think it’s one of the things that’s just like too obvious to not happen. It’s like Flair and Dusty, you know what mean? It’s like blue collar, white collar. There’s this conceited prick versus, I tried my best to be a humble, hardworking man. So like water and oil, where it’s so different that we got the clash. It’s got ‘we got to see what happens when you put these two in the same room at the same time and see what happens. Give them both a microphone. Let him say stuff to him. Let him say stuff to him. See how it pans out. Let him get in the ring with each other. See what they can do.’ If he’s on fire, I would not piss on him to put him out, I promise you I would not. I’d pull my phone out and I’d take videos, and I’d hoot and holler because I can’t stand the man. I’ve never had a hatred for a man like I have for MJF. That’s one of the milestones in my AEW journey was when I crossed paths with him because I was having such a good time. I really was. I was having such a good time, and I can still have a good time, but whenever I see his face, man, it just goes out the window. All I feel is I want to inflict pain on this man. I want to eliminate this man.

Then at the same time, it’s now been brought to I can’t eliminate this man, ‘cause I can get him all the way to the to the edge, but not quite eliminate him yet because I might be able to make some money off of beating this man up over and over and over again. So we kids to feed, mouths to feed. So I don’t think I can totally eliminate him, even though I just got to get out what I got to get out because I ain’t had closure. I beat him in that tables and tacks match. It felt really, really, really good, and he went on his way. I was hoping that he’d be gone for good. But he came back and now he’s the champ.”

Briscoe also gave his thoughts about how MJF has the ability to change his entire brain chemistry.

“That’s the crazy part. My focus is not the AEW World title in and of itself. My focus is inflicting pain and damn near destroying MJF. But it’s crazy, the side effect of this is that I might end up being the AEW World Champion because I already beat the man once. We’re gonna do our thing in the cage match and I plan on beating him again. I don’t know. He changed my brain chemistry. MJF has changed my entire brain chemistry from where now the minute that he enters my thoughts, my mood changes. So I’ll have to apologize if I get cranky here.”

Darby Allin Set To Run In His First Ever Marathon Race at NYC Marathon 2026

Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown on SI held a recent interview with Darby Allin. One of the topics discussed included Allin revealing that he is currently planning to run in this year’s New York City Marathon on November 1 for his first ever marathon race. Allin also gave his thoughts about how he has not started training yet and might not end up doing much preparation for the race.

“I don’t even have running shoes yet. I kind of want to just go into it fully blind. Everyone’s like, ‘you gotta know what you’re getting yourself into.’ I was like, I kinda wanna just wing it, and it sounds so fun.

So I don’t know if I’ll actually train for it. Yeah. I kinda wanna just wing it and push myself.”

Allin will be running the marathon to support KultureCity, a sensory-inclusive nonprofit organization that AEW has worked with for AEW shows.

Allin also gave his thoughts about how his wrestling experience might provide a solid cardio foundation for his marathon race.

“Who knows, those last few miles, what my body’s gonna feel like, especially if I don’t train for it? So it’s gonna be fun to just see what I’ve learned from wrestling, what I can apply to running. So I’m really excited.”

Tony Khan Comments on His Vision for MyAEW

A recent episode of Q93’s Morning Q Crew radio show featured AEW CEO Tony Khan as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about his overall vision and goals for AEW’s MyAEW streaming service.

“We are trying to create our own platform for international distribution. Of course here in America, all of our pay-per-views and shows, you can go watch them on HBO Max, so we’ve got a great streaming home for the library and the live events. Internationally, it’s great to have an app and a place to put these events in other countries, in territories where HBO is still growing and developing.

And also on the FAST (free ad-supported streaming television) channel, that’s a huge thing now, having 24-hour streaming and having a channel always running where people can tune in anytime and watch the classic events and utilize the library that we’ve built. So I think that the FAST channel is a really great development for AEW where you can go back and watch on the different streaming services and get caught up ahead of the live events [like Dynamite and Forbidden Door].”
