Backstage Update on WWE’s Current Plans for Danhausen at July 18 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Show at MSG

As noted before, WWE has been working on “big plans” for Danhausen in relation to the New York Knicks’ recent 2026 NBA Championship victory for their upcoming WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE officials currently have plans in place for Danhausen to compete in a match at their upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event show at Madison Square Garden.

It was reported that the current plan is for a singles match between Danhausen and JD McDonagh to take place on the show.

Danhausen has been involved in a feud with Judgement Day’s McDonagh, Dominik Mysterio, and WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan over recent weeks of WWE RAW shows. Most recently Danhausen had cursed Morgan following their interaction at this past Saturday’s Night of Champions 2026 event that led to Morgan losing to IYO SKY in the Finals of this year’s Queen of the Ring tournament.

Backstage Update on Hiromu Takahashi’s Potentially Joining WWE

As noted before, Hiromu Takahashi departed from New Japan Pro Wrestling this past February. Takahashi is currently believed to joining WWE soon for the next destination in his wrestling career.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that people within WWE and their NXT developmental brand have long expected that Takahashi will eventually join the company.
