As noted before, Big Bill’s contract was set to expire by this June. WWE has been interested in potentially bringing back both Enzo Amore, also known as Real1 and nZo in the indies, and Big Cass, also known as Big Bill in AEW, to the company and reuniting the two as a team. While Bill’s status was not known, Amore was under the assumption from indies promoters to be returning to WWE due to him no longer taking bookings for future indies shows.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Big Bill has given his notice to AEW of his intention to leave the company once his contract officially expires next week. Bill reportedly is currently expected to be returning to WWE.
WWE reportedly is currently planning to sign both Bill and Amore to contracts with the company soon and reunite the two as a team.
It was reported that as of mid-June, Amore was not officially signed yet to WWE due to WWE officials were first waiting for Big Bill to be contractually free and clear to sign with them.
