This upcoming match is notable for featuring the stipulation of if Omega loses, then he can never challenge for the AEW World title again in his AEW career. AEW’s original plans for this match was for it to take place at this month’s Redemption event in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Those spoken to reportedly stated that the long-term plan for this match was for AEW’s upcoming Redemption event on July 26.
