The Undisputed held a recent interview with Tommaso Ciampa. One of the topics discussed included Ciampa’s thoughts about him enjoying experimenting with his “Psycho Killer” character and having big plans for his character in AEW that he is hopeful to reveal by this August’s All In 2026 event.
“The Psycho Killer character is coming into a life of its own,” said Ciampa. “There was a lot of stuff left on the table I didn’t fully get to play with and experiment with prior to NXT, so it’s been fun creatively to flesh out a lot of those ideas.
There are some big plans we’re working on behind the scenes with The Psycho Killer,” he continued. “Pro wrestling has a lot to do with timing, and we’re hoping the timing will work out just in time for Wembley.
There are a lot of fun projects in the works, and the last four, five, six months have been so exciting. I love collaborating, and we’ve got a great team of minds here to help push the envelope. When that’s taken away from the performer, that locks them up. Creatively for me, it’s giving me an outlet I haven’t had for a long time.”
In a separate recent interview with Boston 25 News, Ciampa gave his thoughts about AEW’s upcoming Dynamite and Collision tapings this week in Boston and teased he has something special in store for the Boston crowd.
“It’s unreal. The fact that we’re at MGM Music Hall right across from Fenway. Wednesday’s almost sold out. Thursday, some tickets available. Kenny Omega’s first time as world champ. He’s addressing the crowd, supposedly celebrating in my city. I’ll have my eyes on that. Wink, wink. Hint, hint, and I don’t know what’s in store exactly for me. I know Mercedes has a six-woman trio match. I’ve been told that we’ll be doing something pretty special for the Boston crowd. I’m excited for that. The shirt farm shirts will be there in full attendance for Boston. It’s just going to be a good time, man.”
In a different separate recent interview with NBC 10 Boston, Ciampa also gave his thoughts about him getting to compete in his hometown of Boston for the first time in AEW and how he has asked AEW CEO Tony Khan to allow him to show out during this week’s AEW tapings in the city.
“I don’t even know what to expect. I will say it feels similar to when I made my debut at AEW. I remember saying to my wife right before I went out, I was like, “This isn’t one of those, I hope they remember things, because I just left WWE like two months ago.” I said, “It’s one of, I hope, they care things.” I feel that similar feeling of like, man, this means a lot to me and I hope that that translates to them. I hope they realize, because I haven’t performed ever in front of Boston with AEW. Haven’t ever performed at this venue, but it’s been a long time since I’ve got to like show out in Boston. A lot of times when I got to go there with WWE, it wasn’t like I didn’t get a big role on the show. So that’s kind of what I’m hoping the most for. I was like, “Hey Tony [Khan], just let me show out on this one.”
