Mistico Not Cleared To Compete At AEW Redemption

Following Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Nashville, Tennessee, AEW CEO Tony Khan held a live stream session on Twitter.

This live stream featured Khan making several announcements for the upcoming AEW Redemption event on July 26 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Among the new announcements included Khan announcing that Mistico has not been medically cleared to compete at Redemption.

Khan stated that Mistico had been scheduled to compete at this week’s AEW television tapings and upcoming event but due to injuries he suffered at a recent CMLL show in Arena Mexico, he was not cleared to compete.

Khan also stated that Mistico was in line for a shot at the AEW International Championship due to he’s never been defeated in AEW. Instead, Khan announced that a #1 Contender Six-way Ladder match will be taking place at Redemption to determine the next official challenger for the title.
