As noted before, Zelina Vega was released by WWE this past April as part of a larger batch of talent releases and departures. Vega’s no-compete clause with WWE officially expired earlier today.
Vega, real name Thea Trinidad Budgen, reflected earlier today on Instagram posting a video recapping her wrestling career.
During the video, former WWE and current AEW talent Andrade El Idolo and former WWE talent and Vega’s husband Aleister Black made brief cameo appearances.
At the end of the video, Vega confirmed that she will be going by the new ring name of Xelina for her post-WWE wrestling career going forward.
Thank you for allowing me to entertain you as Zelina Vega. I hope you join me for this new chapter.. it will be my best.
