Leon Slater Issues Challenge To Cedric Alexander for TNA X-Division Title at TNA Lockdown 2026

Thursday’s live TNA Impact! show at the The Licarious Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania featured one new potential match for the card of Lockdown 2026, which takes place on August 23 at the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

This new potential match is a TNA X-Division Championship Cage match of Leon Slater vs. Cedric Alexander (c).

Following Ricky Sosa and Leon Slater’s victory over The System (Cedric Alexander & Eddie Edwards), Slater grabbed a microphone and issued a challenge to Alexander for his TNA X-Division Championship in a cage match at Lockdown.

In a follow-up, The System came out to interrupt KC Navarro’s promo segment. Alexander responded to Slater’s challenge stating “No” and that he will never accept a rematch from Slater.

TNA Gives Shout Out To Rebel for Her Terminal ALS Battle

Thursday’s live TNA Impact! show also featured TNA commentators Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt giving some words of support for former TNA and current AEW talent Rebel on her battle with terminal ALS.

Indi Hartwell & Jada Stone Advances in TNA Knockouts Television Title Tournament

Thursday’s live TNA Impact! show also featured two Quarterfinal Round matches in the TNA Knockouts Television Championship tournament.

The first match was Indi Hartwell defeating Thea Hail.

The second match was Jada Stone defeating Jody Threat.

As a result of their victories, Hartwell will be facing off against M By Elegance and Stone will be facing off against the winner of Mara Sade/Heather By Elegance in the Semifinal Round of the TNA Knockouts Television Championship tournament.

Jason Hotch Wins TNA International Title

Thursday’s live TNA Impact! show also featured Jason Hotch defeating Mustafa Ali to become the new TNA International Champion.

This was Hotch’s first-ever TNA Internaional Championship victory and also his first ever championship victory in his TNA career.
