As noted before, Anthony Bowens’ contract with AEW is currently set to expire on October 1.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that WWE has shown some interest in potentially signing Bowens if he becomes a free agent.
Meltzer reported that Bowens’ age of 35 could be a potential obstacle due to that age being old to start in the WWE system.
Bowens has been with AEW since November of 2020. Bowens most recently wrestled at this past Sunday’s AEW All In 2026 event in an Eight-Man Tag Team match with The Opps against “Blackheart” Lio Rush & The Rascalz.
