Video: The Butcher Memorial Tribute

After an acknowledgment of the passing of Andy Williams AKA The Butcher, commentary hypes up the matches set for tonight.

Backstage: Rebel, Britt Baker, Persephone, Hikaru Shida

Before we get to the in-ring action, we make a long-awaited return to…

Rebel introduces our host Dr. Britt Baker, DMD, who thanks “Reba” and says it’s great seeing her again. With that, we’re introduced to the first of our guests tonight in new TBS Champion Persephone, who talks about taking down Maya World and taking the title from her. Baker then introduces her other guest, a woman who famously broke the Doctor’s nose years ago in Hikaru Shida, who says she hates Maya World even more now. The three talk about their trios match later on, and leave as Rebel tries to remind Baker about taking her glove with her.

The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, & Roderick Strong) vs. Swerve Strickland & The New Level (Kofi & Austin Creed) (c)

We start things off with Kofi and Orange Cassidy squaring off. Cassidy is taken down but bounces back up, catching Kofi by surprise for a nearfall. Kofi tries to sweep Orange off his legs but to no avail, and Cassidy offers one last try…only to dodge the hand once more! Little bit of frustration from Kofi as he tags in Creed, and a tag is made to O’Reilly as well.

Austin gets a few moves in on Kyle, countering out to take O’Reilly to the mat. To the ropes he goes, dodging O’Reilly to take him down with a forearm strike. Chaos ensues as Swerve and Strong come in as well, with Roderick using Cassidy as a weapon against his opponents. In the midst of all this, Cassidy takes a tag and goes to work on Kofi before tagging in Roderick, which allows the Conglomeration to stay in control as we go to an ad break.

-FULL AD BREAK (ON HBO MAX)-

O’Reilly laying into Creed as we come back, but Austin gets to his feet for some chops. Kyle fires back, looking for a suplex before Creed counters for one of his own, slamming O’Reilly hard to the mat. Ref with a standing count as Creed crawls over for a tag to Kofi. Tag made to Strong as well, as Cassidy gets sent off the apron before landing a dropkick on Roderick. Kofi fights back with an escalera for a two count, followed by a leg drop for good measure.

Kofi in the corner for a spinning kick, but there will be no trouble in this paradise as Strong lands a backbreaker instead! Tag made to Swerve, who blocks a backbreaker attempt by Roderick. Strong sends Strickland over the rope but Creed gets a tag, and we see a triple team culminate in a double stomp by Kofi! Austin brings him back in the ring for a two count. Cassidy gets a tag but so does Kofi, and chaos ensues once more as all six men go at it. Swerve gets caught with a Stundog Millionaire but Cassidy gets caught in a big triple team by the champions in the process.

We’re left with just Swerve and Cassidy again, as Orange takes Strickland down before New Level go after him. They lift him up for a suplex but he gets a double headlock with his hands in his pockets. He even lands some “hard kicks” onto Strickland before New Level launches him onto Swerve…who ends up taking a headscissors instead! In spite of all this, the champs keep Cassidy down before taking him out with the Daybreak for the win to retain.

Winner: Swerve Strickland & The New Level via Pinfall.

No time for celebration as The Demand come out here, running down the champions and looking for their rematch. They look to get into a fight with the champs until Hangman Adam Page and Brodido come out for the save! The Demand and Lethal Twist escape up the ramp as we get a moment of a staredown between former and current champions.

Backstage: Steven Borden, Darby Allin

We head backstage, where Steve Borden addresses being afraid of his father’s shadow his whole life…but sees a chance to make his own way when he teams with Darby Allin to take on Mark Davis and Josh Alexander later tonight.

Ringside: The Butcher Tribute

We head to ringside as commentary talks about Andy “The Butcher” Williams who passed away this past weekend. Excalibur gives a very touching statement about the man, and we get a graphic noting that a tribute to Williams will take place on Collision before we go to commercial.

Backstage: Don Callis Family

Backstage we hear from the Don Callis Family. Josh Alexander talks about coming back from five months on the shelf when he teams with Mark Davis, and Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight talk up facing the Young Bucks. Fletcher starts to walk off when Okada gets involved, saying he’s glad Kyle finally sees the value in family. Fletcher is annoyed by the new International Champion and walks off as we head back to ringside.

Trios Match
Thunder Rosa, Hyan, & Maya World vs. Dr. Britt Baker, Persephone, & Hikaru Shida

Out first are Hyan, Maya World, and Thunder Rosa for our next match. Persephone, Hikaru Shida, and Dr. Britt Baker, DMD make their entrance next as we get a look at the donation made to I AM ALS as part of what tonight is all about. With all six women in the ring, this match gets underway!

We start off with Baker and Thunder Rosa…or maybe not brother, as Baker immediately tags in Persephone instead! Rosa takes her fellow CMLL champion to the mat, but Persephone looks to fight back. She catches Rosa and sends her into the corner…but Thunder dodges a shoulder charge for a backslide and a nearfall.

Tag made to Hyan and then to Maya as they keep Persephone down, with Hyan tagging back in for a two count. She heads to the ropes but gets caught with a Persephone powerslam for two. Tag made to Shida, but Hyan dodges a kick to send the former Women’s World Champion into the turnbuckle. Tag made to World, who hits a moonsault for a nearfall.

Shida takes control as she sends Maya to the corner. Maya fends off Baker but gets blindsided by Shida as we go to an ad break.

Shida firmly in control as we come back, taking out Hyan before sending Maya to the corner for an attack by Baker and Persephone. World with a tag to Rosa, who unleashes hell on Persephone and Shida before being attacked from behind by the DMD. Baker backs off as Persephone grabs Rosa, but Shida nearly attacks her instead as Thunder breaks free. This allows Hyan to get a tag and land a cross body on both women, but the cover is broken up by Britt. Baker with a tag as Persephone and Shida set up Hyan for a suplex by Britt.

Things break down when Rosa comes back into the ring, forcing Persephone and Shida to leave the ring…as we see Rebel making her way to the ring with Baker’s glove! Britt thanks her as she takes the glove…but Hyan rolls her up for a nearfall instead! Chants for Rebel from the crowd as Baker manages to turn things around, cinching in the Lockjaw on Hyan and pointing her toward Rebel as Hyan taps out!

Winner: Dr. Britt Baker, Persephone, & Hikaru Shida via Submission.

Crowd is loving the win as Baker meets back up with Rebel, and the pair head up the ramp to the back.

We cut to a video package highlighting Rebel’s fight against ALS and the Rebel Heart initiative, and commentary hypes up what else is happening tonight before we go to commercial.

Video: Andrade El Idolo

We get a video package focused on Andrade El Idolo and his win at the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In, before we head to ringside for our next match.

AEW National Championship
The Beast Mortos vs. Andrade El Idolo (c)

Mortos charges at the champion immediately, only for Andrade to take the Beast to the mat. Mortos leaves the ring before El Idolo can get to him, and Andrade takes the challenger down with a diving hurricanrana instead! He gets a selfie with a couple fans in the front row before taking Mortos back to the ring, only for the champ to be sent out of the ring by the Beast…who leaps through the ropes for a dive as we go to break!

Back in the ring, El Idolo has regained control as he sends the challenger into the corner. Crowd looking forward to what’s coming next as Andrade drops trou before looking for a Meteora…only to be slammed hard to the mat by the Beast! Andrade tries to fight back from the corner, but Mortos takes him out with a lungblower for a two count. El Idolo manages to fight back for a nearfall of his own, followed by a Dia de los Muertos and the DM for the win!

Winner: Andrade El Idolo via Pinfall to retain the AEW National Championship.

Andrade takes a microphone after the match, giving some credit to Mortos before calling himself Andrade El Idolo, the real Latino Man…how you know?

We don’t get an answer as The Dogs blindside him in the ring! Gabe Kidd talks some trash about him after losing at Collision, but before they can do much more Will Ospreay comes out for the save. The Dogs clear out of the ring, staring down Ospreay and El Idolo before Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir make their way through the crowd. Mox takes the chair away from Kidd, but uses it to take a seat at commentary…as we find out the World Title Eliminator Match is going down right now!

Kidd and Connors take their leave with Andrade chasing them down as we get underway.

AEW World Championship Eliminator Match
David Finlay vs. Will Ospreay (c)

Finlay starts to take control here, sending Ospreay into the corner for some hard shots…but the champ turns things around to send Finlay out of the ring for a dive through the ropes! Ospreay stares down the man he’s set to face at All Out, with David still down on the floor as we go to ad break.

Back from break, Ospreay takes out Finlay from the corner with a springboard forearm. Finlay sends the champ to the ropes but gets taken out by Ospreay for a two count. Both men on their feet now as Finlay lands some forearms on the champ, eventually taking Will down hard with a backbreaker for two. He brings Ospreay to his feet for a shoulder powerbomb, but the champ powers out for a crescent kick. Powerbomb connects but Will only gets a nearfall for it.

The fight heads to the apron, where David catches Will on the top rope before bringing him back in for a two count of his own. Powerbomb gets countered by Ospreay for a hurricanrana and a two…followed by an Oscutter for another close nearfall!

Ospreay heads to the corner for a Hidden Blade, but Finlay counters into a backslide. Ospreay counters back with a Stundog Millionaire when he’s lifted up, and takes Finlay out with a Styles Clash for the win.

Winner: Will Ospreay via Pinfall.

Mox gives his former charge some props on commentary before leaving through the crowd, and Ospreay celebrates the win.

Backstage: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

We head backstage. Brodido and Hangman Adam Page talk about earlier tonight and whether it means they’re still in the hunt for the titles. A nice little summit ensues, as they ultimately agree they’re still a trio…even if they can’t agree on who is El Guapo. Dynamite rolls on.

Don Callis Family (Mark Davis & Josh Alexander) vs. Steven Borden & Darby Allin

Don Callis Family make their way out with Mark Davis and Josh Alexander ready to compete in our next match. Darby Allin and Steven Borden make their entrance, and we get underway!

We start out with Davis and Darby for a moment, before Steven gets the tag. “Steve” chants for Sting Twonior as he goes after Dunkzilla, taking Davis to the mat. He wrings the arms as Davis gets to his feet, and Borden cinches in a headlock before tagging in Darby…who takes a headlock of his own. Darby is shoved away but he goes after Alexander before landing a springboard Coffin Drop (sorta) on Dunkzilla…but we see that Josh has gotten a blind tag, allowing for a beatdown on Darby as we head to break.

We come back to see Davis with a tribute of his own to The Butcher with a Texas Cloverleaf into a powerbomb on Darby, mocking Borden before tagging in Alexander who lands a body slam. Tag back to Davis, who goes for a cover but only gets two. Missed senton gives Darby a chance to go for a tag, but Davis keeps Borden off the apron as Alexander tags back in for a backbreaker on Darby. Double-team to no avail as Darby fends off two suplexes for a tag to Borden!

He takes Davis down with a clothesline and gives both men a body slam each for good measure. He sends Dunkzilla out of the ring before dropping Alexander with a Samoan drop of sorts. Leaping elbow drop gets him a nearfall, and Davis comes in sending Borden to the corner for some chops. Borden fights back for a dropkick on Davis. He goes for a superplex but Josh stops him, landing a rack bomb for two before Darby breaks it up at the last second.

Exchange of holds ends with Darby being tossed over with a German suplex, but Borden catches him for what is described by commentary as a “Scorpion Coffin Drop” before Darby leaps through the ropes, keeping Davis away as Borden picks up the win!

Winner: Steven Borden & Darby Allin via Pinfall.

Video: The Young Bucks, FTR, Cage & Cope

Commentary hypes up our main event tables match. They also talk up the 3-Way Ladder Match at All Out, before we get a video package for the match.

On Stage: Thekla, Mercedes Mone, Willow Nightingale

Back at ringside, Thekla comes out with a microphone. She tells Mercedes Moné that she doesn’t need a title to celebrate. She runs down Moné before starting to say she looks to take her title back. Mercedes interrupts this to talk some trash on the Toxic Spider, and I can feel my brain slowly shutting down as it goes on (so I apologize for the lack of recap lol). The one thing Thekla thinks she and Mercedes can agree on is that Willow Nightingale is the dumbest b—h of them all, saying she fumbled at Wembley.

Willow is not having any of this as she makes her way out, running Thekla out of the ring as she regroups with the Triangle of Madness on the ramp as we go to commercial.

Backstage: Death Riders, Will Ospreay

Backstage, PAC and Daniel Garcia have their concerns about Will Ospreay. So does Kidd, but this is interrupted by the arrival of Ospreay himself. He looks for a chat alone with Mox, as he reveals that he’s not surprised by the announcement last week as he’s the one who asked for this title match. He sees Mox as the number one contender since he’s the only man who’s pinned Ospreay this year, but notes that the match will be vastly different from his Continental Title bouts. As the champ walks off, Mox shares a bit of frustration tossing aside a chair before walking off.

Tables Match
Don Callis Family (Kyle Fletcher & “The Jet” Kevin Knight) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson)

With that, we head to ringside because IT’S TIME for our main event! Out first is Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher as commentary brings up Andy “The Butcher” Williams being in the only other team tables match in company history. The DCF pairing enters the ring before the Young Bucks make their entrance to get this match underway!

Knight gets sent out of the ring early as the Bucks go after Fletcher in the corner. Knight tries to get involved but gets sent off the apron, leading to the Bucks taking both opponents to the floor. They grab one of the tables at ringside, but Knight and Fletcher stop a double suplex to regain control. Bucks fend off Kevin before taking Kyle down with a double team. Knight comes to his partner’s aid but the DCF pair get sent back to the floor as the Bucks grab a table, bringing it into the ring to set it up in the corner. Nick gets sent out of the ring by Knight, who gets caught with a locomotion suplex by Matt.

Kyle tries to make the save but nearly gets taken down when Nick comes back in. Despite some close calls with a table at ringside, DCF regain control as they send the Bucks down to the floor as we go to break.

Fletcher and Matt are in the ring as we come back, with the latter taking Fletcher down with a Sliced Bread and a DDT. Knight comes into the ring but gets fended off by both Bucks, who grab a table out of the corner. Kyle interrupts but ends up being sent face first to the canvas. Bucks set Fletcher up on the ropes, and they land an MMMBop Drop sending Kyle onto the flattened table. No break there, but the damage is done as they bring Kyle across the ring for a TK Driver from the apron.

Nothing doing as Knight sends Matt off the turnbuckle with a hurricanrana…only for Matt to hit him right back with one on Kevin when Fletcher looks for a tombstone on Nick! Matt follows up with a suplex dropping Fletcher onto the hardest part of the ring, and the Bucks have both opponents in the ring.

Knight starts to fight back but gets caught with a TK Driver by the Bucks. Fletcher tries to fend them off as well but takes a BTE Trigger for his troubles. On the apron we see Knight getting to his feet…only for Matt to go for a a sunset powerbomb. A superkick from Nick allows Matt to send Kevin through the table, but Fletcher is able to power back as he sends up sending Nick through a table on the opposite side!

This leaves us with Fletcher and Matt, the latter taking a brainbuster from Kyle. Fletcher sets up a table in the center of the ring, only for Matt to slide underneath it before slamming Kyle onto the table. Matt fires up with a superkick sending Fletcher onto the table. Matt goes up top, but out comes FTR to intervene! Matt fights them off but is caught once again, this time by Big Stoke…allowing Fletcher to land a superplex driving Matt through the table for the win!

Winner: Don Callis Family.

FTR join DCF in beating down the Young Bucks some more, before Darby Allin and Steven Borden come out for the save with a pair of chairs! FTR and DCF take their leave as the Bucks end up shaking hands with Borden and Darby. Commentary hypes up next week’s Dynamite lineup along with the tribute to Andy Williams on Collision, before Darby and Steven leave the ring to cheers from the crowd bringing Dynamite to a close.
