Orange Cassidy Comments on Him Considering Retiring His Longtime Denim Jacket

A recent episode of the Under The Mat with Simon Miller podcast featured Orange Cassidy as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Cassidy’s thoughts about him feeling that it might be time to retire his longtime denim jacket that he has worn throughout his wrestling career since 2017.

“No, but I wash my stuff. It’s not gross, but like some people get freaked out about that, but I can wash. So, this is a one and done. This could go to a museum. I’ve had this jacket since 2017, really, and it’s been through some of the biggest matches of my career. It’s been through the biggest events of my career and it’s, uh, I eventually, I actually put it on today and I was like, this is it, might be time to hang her up.”

Cassidy also gave his thoughts about if it was the only denim jacket that he owns.

“Oh no, I have a whole closet full of denim. I just, I just like it. I like the old tried and true.”

Jim Ross Provides Update on His Health Status & Broken Toes Injury

As noted before, AEW commentator Jim Ross underwent successful brain surgery this past late August to deal with a health issue that has affected his memory since his recent lengthy hospital stay for an undisclosed medical issue. Besides his recovery from a brain surgery, Ross also recently revealed that a small mass was found in his kidney but it might not be cancerous and at worst would be easily treatable. Ross also recently revealed that he had suffered a broken toes injury on the morning of his brain surgery.

A recent episode of the Grilling JR podcast featured co-host Ross providing an update on his current health status and his broken toes injury.

“I sit here at home and tell myself that I’m a lot better — and I am a lot better,” he said. “If my two toes in my left foot weren’t broken, my balance wouldn’t be as adversely affected as it is right now. I still got to be careful when I walk to not fall. Falling is JR’s enemy.

My life is getting more structured under the new circumstances of my health. And if my f***ing toes weren’t broken, I’d be way down the road. I can’t do as much physical therapy as far as walking or moving on my feet because of my broken toes. So, damned if you do, damned if you don’t. When they’re healed, and they’re healing slowly, I’ll be right back in the saddle. No doubt about it.”

Mick Foley Reflects on AEW’s Dynamite Rebel Heart Show Being One Of The Most Extraordinary Nights of His Wrestling Career

WWE Hall of Famer and AEW personality Mick Foley recently reflected on Instagram about this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Rebel Heart show in Athens, Georgia and how it was one of the most extraordinary nights of his career in pro wrestling.

“A SPECIAL NIGHT FOR WRESTLING

In my 40 years in wrestling, I probably have a dozen moments that stand out in my mind as being so extraordinary that I will never forget them. Last night I had the honor of witnessing one of those moments. Watching @rebeltanea make her way to the ring, and roll away with @brittbaker in her lap was one of the greatest things I’ve seen in professional wrestling. Being in the audience when it happened, rushing backstage to see dozens of her colleagues surrounding her – many of them in tears – was beautiful to witness. Rebel has managed to uplift others even as she battles a devastating illness that has no cure. I’m proud and privileged to call her a friend.”
