As noted before, Anthony Bowens and Max Caster’s contracts with AEW officially expired on October 1.
Michael Fairman held a recent interview with Bowens. One of the topics discussed included Bowens’ thoughts about the future of his wrestling career.
“Well, unfortunately I don’t think I can speak on any of that because as soon as I open my mouth, I know there will be 27 different dirt sheets about what I say. I just don’t know where things are gonna go. I don’t wanna speculate. I’m taking everything one day at a time. I appreciate everybody’s support throughout all of this and I got a lot of ‘stay,’ I got a lot of different things, and I appreciate people’s feedback but I know deep down what I want to do and we’ll see if it works out.”
Bowens also gave his thoughts about the injuries he has tallied up throughout his wrestling career and revealed that he is currently dealing with a slightly torn meniscus injury in his right knee.
“I’ve had a few diagnosed concussions. I’m sure there’s been undiagnosed. I’ve had a seizure in the ring. My MCL’s torn; it had to be repaired. I currently have a slightly torn meniscus in my right knee. My left meniscus got torn and I had to have that repaired. Let’s see, I bruised nerves in my lower back once. That’s what I could think of off the top of my head. I’m sure there’s a lot more.”
