A recent episode of TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast featured Rusev as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Rusev’s thoughts about the recent online rumors about WWE planning to form a new stable featuring him, Big Cass, and “All Ego” Ethan Page for his return to WWE television.
“It’s very internet booking. You know, ‘We have one, two, three bad guys. Let’s put them together.’ I have not heard anything about this. But also, I don’t know if I’m okay with it either. I left for a couple of months, I got hurt, then I got the sickness, then I have the kid [coming], and Page just goes out there and finds another tall guy to back him up. Like, eff you, bro. You never called me, you never text me, you never checked on me. Like, you’re just gonna go and find yourself a big goof? Good for you. I don’t want to be associated with people like that.”
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that if WWE officials currently do have plans for this potential new stable, then this is something that has not been relayed to Rusev, Cass, and Page as of this past week.
Rusev has been absent from WWE since this past July due to a hands-related injury and made his in-ring return from injury at WWE’s Hawaii Tour house show event this past October in Honolulu, Hawaii.
