As noted before, New Japan Pro Wrestling recently announced the full field of tag teams for this year’s World Tag League, which takes place from November 23 to December 13 in Japan. Among the teams announced included Taichi being revealed to be having a mystery partner.

Friday’s Tatsumi Fujinami 55th Anniversary Celebration Dragon Expo 2026 event for Dradition Pro-Wrestling in Tokyo, Japan featured Zack Sabre Jr. teaming up with Tatsumi Fujinami in a tag team match against Aaron Wolf & Tatsuya Matsumoto.

Following the match, Sabre Jr. gave comments to the press backstage and revealed that Tomohiro Ishii was originally planned to be Taichi’s tag team partner. Sabre Jr. stated that Ishii is currently unable to compete so he will be filling in and reuniting with Taichi as the Dangerous Tekkers for World Tag League.

“I heard from Taichi. Ishii is injured and won’t be able to compete in the Tag League. Because Taichi is a very dear friend. Taichi, I’m in. I want to do it. One more time as the Dangerous Tekkers, OK.”
