— The dark main event before Tuesday night’s WWE SmackDown! tapings in Calgary, Alberta, Canada saw Wade Barrett defeat Bo Rotunda.

— Twelve years ago today, Lilian Garcia debuted as the ring announcer of RAW. She would eventually become the first Diva to remain with WWE for ten years. She remarked the following today on Twitter regarding the anniversary: “Wow, hard to believe it was 12 years ago today that I started with WWE!! So much has happened since then, yet it also feels like it was just yesterday.”

WWE signed Garcia as a result of the addition of SmackDown to their television taping schedule; the company needed a second person to handle ring announcing duties on a weekly basis. She was given the role despite having no previous announcing experience.
