New Backlash Match **SPOILER**, Hardy Update, Mathews/ECW

It was announced during the Raw taping held earlier today in London, England that Chris Jericho would be wrestling WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat this Sunday at Backlash.

The Chicago-area rating for WWE Superstars on WGN Chicago on Sunday morning was a 1.1 — more than double the 0.5 number they got the prior week in the same time slot. Viewers in Chicago are only able to watch WWE Superstars on Sunday mornings (unless they have a satellite dish).

WWE.com has added a profile on Josh Mathews to the ECW section. However, Todd Grisham’s profile still remains on the ECW section even though he’s calling matches on SmackDown now.

John Cena is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Pro Wrestling Illustrated, which evaluates the top 50 stars in wrestling today.

In an update to the Jeff Hardy story, we aren’t exactly sure if he’s given his notice just yet. He is said to be burned out and has turned down at least two WWE contract offers from what I’m told.
