Backstage News: Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk?

As we’ve been reporting here on the website, Chris Jericho is scheduled to return to WWE at the January 2nd, 2012 RAW Supershow. The event takes place from Nashville, Tennessee.

According to a reliable WWE source, Jericho is currently expected to be a part of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. It’s likely he’ll be involved in the Rumble match.

Current plans have WWE Champion CM Punk vs. Jericho feuding which would then lead to a match at WrestleMania 28. It’s very possible things will change though. Stay tuned.
