— Former WWE Superstar Finlay teamed with Murat Bosporus and Big Boy at Tajiri’s SMASH promotion’s December 30th show at Korakuen Hall in Japan. They lost to the team of Tajiri, Tatsumi Fujinami and Hajime Ohara. This set up Finlay vs. Tajiri for the SMASH Title on February 19th.

— Former WCW star “Dirty” Dick Slater was arrested for retail theft on December 31st in St. Petersburg, FL. Slater has had some rough times lately as he appeared at the NWA Legends Fanfest this past summer in rough shape and in a wheelchair from back surgery.
