— The Rock’s movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island grossed $20.1 million for an impressive 27% drop in its second weekend, finishing at #4. It has grossed $53.2 million domestically and $132.4 million worldwide. Those are some big numbers with very strong competition the last two weeks.
— NWA Ring Warriors announced via press release that Kevin Sullivan and Gangrel would wrestle together as a tag team at the promotion’s March 29th “Battle of the Belts” show in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The two will wrestle Cassidy Riley and former NWA Florida champion Steve “Moose” Madison. Sullivan was well known in Florida before his WCW days, wrestling as part of the Army of Darkness against Dusty Rhodes, Blackjack Mulligan, Barry Windham and the Grahams. The press release stated that the Army of Darkness will be “by Sullivan’s side” with SnakeMaster Abudadein and The Beast accompanying him to the ring.
