Vince McMahon announced at yesterday’s press conference in New York City that he will confront “inept” Denver Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke next Monday on Raw. WWE released the following statement on the company website: THE BOSS VS. CHICKEN NUGGET “At a press conference in New York Thursday, Mr. McMahon announced that when Los Angeles’ STAPLES Center hosts Raw Monday, he will confront inept Denver Nuggets owner, Stan Kroenke. And the WWE Universe wants this “Chicken Nugget” to fry!”

The WWE website posted Kroenke Sports Enterprises’ proposed press release featuring a quote Vince McMahon supposedly made praising Denver Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke. WWE has dubbed the press release “fallacious.” The article then plugs tickets for next week’s Raw and SmackDown/ECW taping at the STAPLES Center.

Speaking of next week’s back-to-back nights of WWE action at the STAPLES Center, tickets for both events have been released at Ticketmaster.com. “WWE is extremely grateful to the Lakers and the STAPLES Center for the hospitality and professionalism shown to WWE during this whole situation,” Vince McMahon said. “We apologize to all of the WWE fans in the Denver area who have been inconvenienced by Kroenke Sports Enterprises. We look forward to bringing two consecutive nights of WWE excitement to Staples Center this Monday and Tuesday night.”
