WrestleMania 28 Set Construction Begins, WWE Films News

— WWE has officially recognized their FCW developmental talent on Twitter. The company created a list of of Twitter accounts linking to their talent in the promotion. WWE doesn’t usually acknowledge developmental wrestlers until they reach the main WWE roster, and then usually does so with a new name. WWE tweeted: We’d like to welcome the athletes of FCW to Twitter! See @WWE’s official FCW Twitter list.

— WWE Studios has found a distribution partner for its film The Day. Deadline.com reports that the action-thriller, which stars Shawn Ashmore (X-Men), Dominic Monaghan (The Lord of the Rings) Shannyn Sossamon (A Knight’s Tale) and Ashley Bell (The Last Exorcism), will be distributed by Anchor Bay Films. The film was acquired at the Toronto International Film Festival as part of a new strategy to buy existing films as well as co-producing new ones. It will screen next at the Sarasota Film Festival in Florida in April.

— The construction of the set for WrestleMania 28 began earlier this week at Sun Life Stadium in Miami.
