Alberto Del Rio At WrestleMania Update, Richards Note, More

— Former WWE star Stevie Richards has been announced to appear at WrestleReunion 7 on March 31 at the Miami Beach Deauville Resort 6701 Collins Ave. Miami, Florida.

— For those who may have missed it, during a recent media appearance promoting WWE’s live show in Puerto Rico, Alberto Del Rio said that he will not be involved with WrestleMania 28. He said the original plan was for him to face Randy Orton at the show, but those plans got scrapped after his injury. He said there was another plan to have him be a member of Team Johnny at the show, but that those plans have also been dropped. Things can obviously change at this week’s TV tapings if Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara aren’t ready to return yet.

— Legendary Japanese wrestler Jumbo Tsuruta would have turned 61 years old on Sunday. He died on May 13, 2000 at the age of 49 from complications of a kidney transplant after being diagnosed with kidney cancer.

— As reported earlier, SmackDown ring announcer Lilian Garcia will be holding a VIP concert this Wednesday from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Gibson Miami Showroom (located at 180 NE 39th St Miami, Florida 33255).
