Ring of Honor is planning to use a new iPPV provider moving forward. The promotion made the decision to do so after issues with Go Fight Live during the Showdown in the Sun iPPVs over WrestleMania weekend. One person blamed the issues with the streaming on new technology that hadn’t been tested right with the first broadcast, while issues with the second were attributed to a brownout in the Fort Lauderdale area.
Kevin Kelly confirmed the plans to switch on Twitter; when asked whether the May 12th event in Toronto would be an iPPV, he said:
Yes. Not on GFL though, thank God
The company is reportedly considering several different possibilities such as Hybrid.net (which does CZW’s iPPVs), WWNLive.com which is run by Sal Hamaoui and Gabe Saopolsky or even bringing the iPPV broadcasts in-house.
