A recent episode of the What’s Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon podcast featured WWE Hall of Famer and AAA General Manager Nick Aldis as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Mysterio officially announcing the return of the classic Survivor Series match for this month’s Survivor Series: WarGames 2026 event. Mysterio stated that this match will be Team USA vs. Team Mexico.
“I had a couple of words with Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis, and we are going to put together something very special: A classic five vs. five Survivor Series match at Survivor Series where it will be Team USA vs. Team Mexico.”
This will be the first time that WWE will be holding a Survivor Series match since 2021.
