The CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho feud went outside WWE Wednesday night at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. Punk was named the winner of Revolver’s “Most Metal Athlete” award. Chris Jericho, who was hosting the show for the third straight year, got upset and smashed the award on stage. Punk was not present at the awards, as he was on WWE’s international tour.
Chris Jericho stated the following before smashing Punk’s award…
“I want to accept this for him, and even though he beat me at WrestleMania, and basically embarrassed me, I will give this to him in good standing.”
Video and photos from the incident are available at WWE.com.
