— Here is the latest on Chris Jericho’s status with WWE. He will be finishing up shortly so that he can tour this summer with Fozzy. While not confirmed, he may be finishing up this week. Jericho stayed longer than initially planned.

— Devin Cutting sent this one in: Harley Race and his WLW promotion are holding a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation at Remington’s Entertainment Complex in Springfield, Missouri on June 15th, 2012. — WWE developmental FCW has a live event in Brooksdale, FL at the Armory tonight.

— The cover of the WWE Encyclopedia’s second edition has been released. The book comes out on September 2nd.

— Here are the latest details on the new women’s wrestling promotion that will launch this July in Ybor City, Florida with monthly iPPV events.

* Promoter Sal Hamaoui had the following comments on the new promotion…

“I’ve been involved with SHIMMER from the very start and I’m very proud what Dave (Prazak) and everyone at SHIMMER have done to legitimize woman’s pro wrestling. I’m extremely happy to be part of this expansion and very excited to be working with such a talented and driven group of exceptional people.”

* Gabe Sapolsky will be involved in supervisory-promotional role with the new promotion. Also, Florida Underground Wrestling promoter Dontay Brown will also be part of the senior management

* The company will be running monthly events in Ybor City and are also looking for additional markets in Florida to run regularly.

* They will unveil the logo for the company in the next week or so, and the promotion’s name, which has been decided upon, will also be released around that time.

* Lexie Fyfe, who is an agent with SHIMMER, will work in that same capacity with this group. She will also serve as a liaison between the two companies.

* Daffney has been instrumental since the beginning of the new promotion, and will be working closely with Prazak & Hamaoui securing talent for the new promotion. She will also be involved in the promotion’s storylines.
