More On Cyndi Lauper’s Return On RAW This Week

As noted earlier, WWE has announced that Cyndi Lauper, who managed Wendi Richter at the first WrestleMania when she won the WWE Women’s Championship, will be the guest star on RAW this Monday. It is Lauper’s first appearance with the company since she was involved with it in the mid-1980s.

Lauper had a big influence on WWF’s rise into the Rock N’ Wrestling in the ’80s due to her status as one of the biggest stars in pop music. Captain Lou Albano appeared in her music video for “Girls Just Want To Have Fun.” and several WWF names including Roddy Piper, Albano, Freddie Blassie, Nikolai Volkoff and The Iron Sheik appeared in her video for “The Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough.”

Lauper lives in New York City and RAW airs at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island.
