» As reported earlier, a very late decision was made to not put ZZ Top in front of the live audience for the one late segment in the car to show they were actually there. Instead, all of their segments were pre-taped in the afternoon. To show how late the decision was made, Dusty Rhodes was brought in do something with them on the show, but it was ultimately nixed because they didn’t want to risk putting ZZ Top in front of the live crowd.
