— WWE has chosen silence as their defense in a lawsuit filed against them by Papa Berg. Berg filed the suit claiming that the company improperly used his trademarked music for profit. THR reached out to WWE for comment without success. Berg is asking for a temporary injunction, an order seizing and impounding all infringing works and damages. Berg claims in the suit that “systematic pattern of errors and omissions” has been uncovered by investigation, leading to WWE allegedly misappropriation of Berg’s musical works,” Berg claims to be deprived of royalties through sales of DVDs, ringtones and usage of his copyright music on WWE TV.
