To put a rumor to rest, Edge is not under contract to WWE in any matter—not even a “Legends” deal. We’re told his contract with WWE expired several months ago, despite WWE wanting him to re-sign.
As we’ve been reporting, he is only scheduled to appear for House of Hardcore’s debut event on Saturday, October 6 in Poughkeepsie, New York, and the following day in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for an autograph signing with Tommy Dreamer. He’ll appear at indy federations from time to time but that’s about all he’ll be doing.
According to sources, the WWE Hall of Famer is very content to sit at home and relax. As of last word, he was still dating WWE Diva Beth Phoenix.
