— Linda McMahon has filed an ethics complaint against Connecticut Senate opponent Chris Murphy. In her letter to the Office of Congressional Ethics dated September 7, McMahon’s campaign manager asked for an investigation into whether Murphy “has accepted a prohibited gift and used his official position to secure himself personal and political financial benefit.” The complaint is over a home equity loan Murphy obtained from a bank that he previously represented as a private lawyer.
