— Before getting on a flight to Albany, NY for tonight’s episode of RAW, Jim Ross said that he and Michael Cole will be a part of a live interview segment with Jerry Lawler on the broadcast. He wrote on Twitter: “It’s 3:30am in Oklahoma. Up & at em headed to OKC Airport in route to Albany, NY for #WWE #Raw. @MichaelCole & I will talk live w/ The King.”
Lawler has been recovering in Memphis ever since his on-air heart attack on RAW two weeks ago.
— As noted earlier, Beth Phoenix will be gone from the WWE once her contract expires at the end of the month. She’s been considering leaving wrestling for sometime as we noted last night. One rumor backstage is that she wants to try an acting career. If that doesn’t work out, she’ll continue to work part-time on the indy scene and will likely wind up in TNA at some point. She will be leaving the company on good terms despite being very frustrated in recent months.
