— The CM Punk/Paul Heyman/Jerry Lawler angle was planned several weeks ago and the approval for the angle was received from everyone involved including Jerry Lawler and Mick Foley. Lawler is “old school” and had absolutely no problem with doing the angle.
— As noted earlier here on the website, WWE officials are considering putting Mick Foley in the ring against CM Punk at TLC. The angle at RAW with Jerry Lawler is a step in that direction, with the idea having been in discussions for over a month.
— WWE creative was, as recently as last week, working on storylines with the idea that CM Punk would be in the main event match at WrestleMania 29.
— For those who may have missed it yesterday, WWE is reportedly planning a second CM Punk DVD following the success of CM Punk – Best in the World. The new one should see release in 2014.
