— Altoonamirror.com is featuring an interview with WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart where he talks about the tragedy involving the death of his brother Owen Hart. I think that in the end when you weigh it all up, I’m grateful for all wrestling gave me, and I think my dad and brother Owen would say the same thing. I’m proud of everything I did. After dealing with what happened with my brother Owen over the years, I’ve come to see it was a horrible accident, and I don’t think [WWE owner] Vince [McMahon] would want something like that to happen. It wouldn’t be advantageous to anyone. We were hurt by that, though. I don’t think my dad ever got over what happened with Owen. It had a rebound effect with my dad and Davey. I think my dad and Davey would have lived a lot longer if not for Owen dying.”

— Mick Foley lives very close to the site of tonight’s RAW so it’s possible he’ll be appearing tonight. This is NOT confirmed by any means just yet. We’ll keep you posted when/if we hear more.
— We reported over the weekend that both Vince McMahon and CM Punk are expected to appear on RAW tonight. In an update on this, we can confirm that both men are backstage at RAW right now at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. A “first draft” script going around at RAW this afternoon has Vince McMahon cutting a live promo in the arena. No word on CM Punk’s role as of this writing but he is in the building. He obviously won’t be wrestling on the show due to recent surgery on his left knee so expect a promo segment from him (and Paul Heyman) as well. It’s possible Vince McMahon and CM Punk will be involved in the same promo segment. We shall see.
There was said to be a lot of tension at the SmackDown TV tapings last Tuesday due to the low rating on a show with McMahon appearing and the Punk injury. It should be noted that WWE has tough competition tonight with a huge NFL game featuring the Houston Texans vs. The New England Patriots.
