— As noted earlier here on the website, the current advance for WrestleMania 29 in New Jersey at Metlife Stadium is in the $11 million range. While the show is not sold out, it’s trending in the direction that it will be and will end up with a $12 million gate overall. WrestleMania 28 last year in Miami had set a new record for WWE drawing an $8.9 million gate and nearly tied the buyrate record set by WrestleMania 23 in Detroit.
— As we broke here on the website last night, newly signed WWE developmental talent and independent wrestling star El Generico made his first WWE NXT appearance on Wednesday night in Orlando, Florida. Generico kept his same mask and was in the corner of Brodus Clay in his match against Conor O’Brian. He still isn’t officially listed on the NXT roster page so it remains to be seen if he will remain under his same name or not.
