WWE SD Rating Is In, R-Truth’s WWE Future, ‘Mania XXX

— Following yesterday’s announcement that WrestleMania XXX is coming to New Orleans, WWE received a lot of local media coverage.

— R-Truth is back full time with WWE. He had to let the deep cut he suffered on his knee at the December TLC PPV fully heal, due to the threat of infection.

— Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown scored a 1.96 (2.0) cable rating, with 2.68 million viewers. Those numbers are down ten and sixteen percent, respectively, from the week before and it is the end of a five-week streak of post-2.0 rated shows. The show ranked #6 among cable shows for the night, #6 among males 18 – 34 and #5 among males 18 – 49. The male 12-17 was down 45%, possibly due to the All Star weekend lead-ins on ESPN and TNT which lead the night in the ratings.
